Celebrity Health: Rapper Tone Loc Hospitalized After Medical Emergency During Travel

Rapper Tone Loc, renowned for his classic tracks “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina,” found himself in the hospital this past Valentine’s Day after experiencing a significant medical incident while en route to a parade in Dothan, Alabama. Scheduled to be the Grand Marshal of the event on February 14, the artist’s plans took an unexpected turn.

According to a statement from the Krewe of Kolosse, the men’s Mardi Gras Society organizing the parade, Tone Loc faced a medical emergency while flying from Los Angeles to Dothan, prompting an emergency landing in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was admitted for treatment. Although the specific details surrounding his condition were not disclosed, the organization emphasized respecting the rapper’s privacy during this time.

In a follow-up report by TMZ, a representative for Tone Loc reassured fans that he is in stable condition and is expected to return to Los Angeles shortly. However, they did not provide confirmation regarding the nature of the medical incident.

This isn’t the first health challenge for Tone Loc. Back in 2012, he famously collapsed multiple times during a performance at the Laugh Factory, reportedly struggling to breathe. The following year, he suffered a seizure on stage while performing in Iowa, which required immediate medical attention. Additionally, during a DUI arrest in 2011, he disclosed that he has a history of seizures.
