Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released sooner than previously anticipated, as revealed by records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The rapper, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence for charges related to prostitution, is now slated for release on April 25, 2028.
Initially, Combs’ release was scheduled for May 8, 2028, but it was later adjusted to June 4, 2028, as reported by E! News. In October, the artist received a sentence of four years and two months in federal prison after being convicted of transporting individuals across state lines for sexual activities. Notably, he was acquitted of separate charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have resulted in life sentences.
At 56 years old, Combs is currently housed at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution located in Fort Dix, New Jersey, having been moved there in late October from New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Prosecutors revealed that Combs allegedly spent years flying various individuals, including girlfriends and male sex workers, across the country for drug-fueled sexual encounters in different locations.
His conviction came under the Mann Act, a federal law designed to prohibit the transportation of individuals across state lines for unlawful sexual activities. Defense attorney Jason Driscoll contended that the statute was improperly applied in Combs’ case, according to the Associated Press.
