Monaleo has announced the cancellation of two scheduled tour dates on her “Who Did the Body” tour, following a recent medical emergency. The shows in Memphis and New Orleans will no longer take place as the artist prioritizes her health and recovery.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Monaleo expressed her disappointment, stating, “I’m beyond disappointed, but right now I need to prioritize my health and recovery to prevent any further complications.” Having already completed 25 shows since launching her tour in November, she emphasized her commitment to her performances, saying she gives “110% for every single one.”
The cancellation comes after Monaleo underwent emergency surgery due to an “inflamed cyst” that resulted in abdominal bleeding. In her heartfelt messages, she shared the gravity of her situation, revealing that she lost an ovary and a fallopian tube during the procedure. Currently, she remains hospitalized in Memphis, awaiting her release to begin her recovery.
While she is unsure of the duration of her healing process, Monaleo encouraged her fans to listen to their bodies and prioritize health when necessary. She has confirmed that refunds will be available for the canceled shows.
Looking ahead, Monaleo plans to resume her tour on March 6 at the House of Blues in Houston, with a total of 11 additional performances scheduled, culminating in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 21. Following the conclusion of this tour, she is set to support Summer Walker on the upcoming “Still Finally Over It” tour starting next month.
