The incident occurred shortly after the event concluded when Taylor attempted to return to the stage for a photo op with her co-stars from the film “One Battle After Another.”
According to reports from TMZ, Taylor and Pamela Abdy, co-CEO of Warner Bros, were physically blocked by the security guard, which already set a frustrating tone for the evening. However, the situation escalated when the guard reportedly shoved Taylor, prompting her to express her anger in a video captured by Live Bitez.
In the footage, a visibly upset Taylor can be heard saying, “You’re a man putting your hands on a female. You’re very rude…” She further confronted another individual nearby, questioning why they had an issue with her calling out the guard’s behavior. “He literally shoved me… What’s the problem?” she continued. “Everyone’s trying to have a nice time… But when you get to shoving, that’s a different story. Do not touch me…”
Despite the confrontation, Teyana Taylor had a successful evening overall, as her film “One Battle After Another” received six awards, including Best Picture, though she did not secure the Best Supporting Actress award, which went to Amy Madigan.
