In a troubling turn of events, rapper OJ Da Juiceman, born Rapeze Wilborn, has been hit with a staggering 10 felony charges following a highway confrontation in Georgia that allegedly involved him pointing a firearm at a state trooper.
The incident unfolded on March 15, when law enforcement officials executed an arrest warrant linked to a disturbing January episode on Interstate 20. The severity of the charges against the Atlanta rapper includes felony counts of aggravated assault on a public safety officer and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to reports from the Georgia State Patrol, the confrontation began when a vehicle, later identified as a rented Nissan Altima, began tailgating a trooper merging into the HOV lane on I-20 East. The driver of the vehicle reportedly passed the patrol car and, in a shocking move, aimed a black handgun directly at the officer before speeding away through traffic.
The trooper encountered the same vehicle shortly after and claimed the driver once again brandished the firearm before fleeing the scene.
Authorities were able to link the vehicle to Wilborn through their investigation, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant in February. He was apprehended the following month.
