In an exciting announcement from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the 2026 induction class has been revealed, featuring an impressive lineup that includes Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, and Iron Maiden. Joining these titans of music are Phil Collins, Sade, Joy Division/New Order, Luther Vandross, and Billy Idol, all set to be honored at this year’s prestigious ceremony.
Phil Collins, who was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010, returns to the Hall with a well-deserved recognition for his solo achievements. Notably, Oasis, Iron Maiden, and Joy Division/New Order were contenders in last year’s nominations but did not secure the votes needed for induction, making their entry this year particularly significant. Wu-Tang Clan and Luther Vandross will also be making their first appearances in the induction lineup.
Unfortunately, some notable names such as Mariah Carey, Jeff Buckley, Lauryn Hill, the Black Crowes, P!nk, and Shakira fell short this year, missing the cut despite their nominations.
The ceremony, slated for November 14 in Los Angeles, will also honor pioneers in the industry with the Early Influence Awards going to Fela Kuti, MC Lyte, Gram Parsons, and Queen Latifah. Additionally, Rick Rubin and Linda Creed will receive Music Excellence Awards, while the late Ed Sullivan will be honored posthumously with the Ahmet Ertegun Award. Fans can look forward to a broadcast of the event on ABC and Disney+ in December.
