Rapper Blueface, known for his unique style and viral hits, found himself in a precarious situation recently when he was reportedly detained by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in Santa Clarita. The incident took place while the rapper was livestreaming on the platform Kick, drawing attention as it unfolded in real time.
Law enforcement responded to a call regarding a man allegedly armed with a gun at a local business located on Magic Mountain Parkway. The situation was treated as an emergency, leading deputies to encounter a chaotic scene upon arrival. According to reports, one individual present at the scene refused to comply with the deputies’ commands, which escalated the response.
After securing the area and conducting a thorough investigation, authorities determined that there was no actual armed individual at the location. However, one person was detained on suspicion of misdemeanor delaying or obstructing deputies in the performance of their duties. While local entertainment outlets indicated that Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was the individual detained, the sheriff’s watch commander could not confirm this information.
Blueface initially gained fame in 2018 with his breakout single “Thotiana,” which reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, and he has continued to make waves in the music industry, including the release of his debut studio album, “Find the Beat,” in 2020. The circumstances surrounding the initial report of an armed man and the subsequent detention remain unclear, and it has yet to be determined if any charges will be filed against the detained individual.
