21 SAVAGE TEASES NEW ALBUM ‘FINNA DROP SOON’ FOLLOWING LONDON HOMECOMING SHOW

21 Savage fans will soon be getting their hands on a new album – according to what the rapper told the crowd at his recent homecoming show.

On Thursday night (November 30), the Slaughter Gang rapper sold out the O2 Arena for his first-ever headlining performance in London after securing permanent citizenship in the United States earlier this year

Amid a star-studded night that included guests Central Cee, J Hus and more, 21 also promised that his first solo album in nearly five years is set to drop.

“My album finna drop,” he said as he left the stage. “So, y’all get ready.”

21 Savage’s last solo album, I Am > I Was, arrived in December 2018. The LP, which spawned the hit single “A Lot,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 131,000 album-equivalent units.

He hasn’t stayed quiet since then, however, as he’s released two joint albums since then – 2020’s Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin and more recently, Her Loss with Drake last November. The latter helped keep 21 in rotation on streaming services this year, as he came in at No. 11 on Spotify’s list of most streamed artists in the world for 2023.

While no other details about the new album have been revealed, 21 Savage was spotted shooting a video in London earlier this week that very well could be a part of the project.

In a clip shot in South London’s Brixton district, Savage can be seen on set with a biker gang riding around with him – and fans had fun with the idea of seeing him struggling to drive his bike overseas.

They can[‘t] even own guns what you gonna shoot yall ain’t got no guns hahaha,” one person wrote on Akademiks’ repost of the clip, while another added: “Stay there bra rappers so fake anything for views n clout n to stay relevant wanted a visa but want to shoot a music video there but haven’t been there since a teen you say.”

Last month, Savage officially became a permanent United States resident, allowing him to travel freely outside the country

On his first trip outside the U.S., he headed north of the border to join Drake and close out the It’s All A Blur Tour in the 6 God’s hometown of Toronto. 21 previously didn’t appear on any of the other Canadian dates on the trek.

Billboard also reported that 21 Savage is currently planning to do an entire international tour of his own
