Young Thug has reaffirmed his love for Mariah The Scientist after fans noticed photos of his ex-fiancée Jerrika Karlae on the wall of his jail cell.
On Monday (January 29), bodycam footage of Thugga’s cell being searched for contraband appeared online and dates back to June 2022, per the timestamp in the video.
On Thug’s cell wall was a picture of him and Karlae from their time as a couple, despite them calling off their engagement in December 2020 over the rapper’s alleged abuse.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed a number of other photos of Karlae on Thug’s wall, alongside pictures of his current girlfriend Mariah who he began dating in 2021.
The Atlanta native, who remains behind bars, later posted a picture of Mariah on his X account along with the caption: “All I want. All I see,” which could be a reaction to the leaked footage.

This is now the second Young Thug jail video to leak in recent weeks following footage of a private phone call between the YSL leader and Mariah The Scientist.
In the clip, which appeared to be from around Christmas, Mariah thanks Thugga for gifting her jewelry and tells him how much she misses him.
What’s up, baby. Merry Christmas,” Mariah says before blowing a kiss in Thug’s direction. “I love you. I miss you and I love you. Thanks for my gifts.”
Thug returns the love and asks: “Them chains heavy?” to which Mariah replies: “They’re heavier than the bracelets for sure. I miss you.” Thug adds: “I thought the Cubans were bigger too. They 14 I think.”
“I like it a lot, I’m very appreciative. Thanks babe,” Mariah says. “I miss you. I wish that you could be at home with me. You could put it on me. I miss you.”
Thug then tells Mariah she’s “beautiful” and “looks like a rapper now.”
At the end of the clip, Mariah says: “Daddy, am I your baby?” in a child-like voice, with Young Thug responding: “Most definitely.”
The leaking of the footage was criticized by some of Thug’s rap peers, with Drake calling out the judge presiding over his long-running YSL RICO case.
“This gotta be some form of jail misconduct,” he wrote in an Instagram comment. “You gonna drag this talented man then not be able to control your employees using his personal business for their own gain?
Somebody benefitted from this video even existing and that’s shameful whole case is a wash just 3 the guy and let him come home and continue bringing light to Atlanta.”
Drizzy added on his Instagram Stories: “Shit is disgraceful… is this a criminal case or Atlanta social media promo Ural Glanville?”
Young Thug has been locked up since May 2022 when he was arrested as part of a sprawling indictment against him and his YSL collective.
The trial began in November following months of delays and is expected to last up to a year.
