Meek Mill is not holding back in his criticism of Akademiks (real name Livingston Allen) following the media personality’s recent ban from Twitch, stemming from serious allegations of attempting to groom an underage boy. The controversy erupted after a livestream featuring Akademiks made headlines, showcasing inappropriate sexual comments directed at a 15-year-old boy.
Continuing their longstanding rivalry, Meek Mill was among the first prominent figures to call out Akademiks, who has faced mounting backlash over the incident. Following the announcement of Akademiks’ Twitch ban, Meek took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disdain, stating, “He gone be drinking tonight screaming at kids from some other portal lol these guys’ lives be terrible ‘NEVER FOLLOW THE HEATHENS.’” He further added, “Ima use you as a warning sign since you been talk nonsense it made you lose your mind!”
In response to the controversy, Akademiks acknowledged that Twitch had acted against him due to the offensive livestream but refuted claims that he had lost any sponsorships as a result. He maintained that his partnership with online casino Stake, which operates its own streaming platform called Kick, remains intact. “Twitch took some action because even though I wasn’t streaming, that happened on their platform. I completely get it,” he stated on his Rumble channel.
The problematic livestream featured Akademiks questioning a teenage gamer, NourGXD, about hypothetical sexual encounters, which made the young boy visibly uncomfortable. When Nour declined the inappropriate suggestion, Akademiks pressed for a reason, leading to an unsettling exchange. Despite later labeling his comments as “regrettable” and expressing a desire to improve, Nour criticized his apology, stating it seemed insincere and prompted by the backlash rather than genuine remorse.
The situation has escalated further, as Nour described the interaction as “truly uncomfortable, unnecessary, and disgusting,” showcasing the fallout from Akademiks’ controversial remarks.
