Jeezy is facing a countersuit from his former manager, Solomon Fornie, following a financial dispute that has escalated in recent months. According to court documents obtained by The Jasmine Brand, Fornie claims that he played a crucial role in reviving Jeezy’s career and personal finances after they began working together in 2015, asserting that he has not been adequately compensated for his efforts.
In the legal filings, Fornie stated, “I put my finances, my credit, and my reputation on the line to rebuild Jenkins’ career from the ground up. He went from foreclosure to Forbes, and now he wants to pretend I was never there.” Fornie alleges that he covered significant expenses for Jeezy, including paying off his homes and covering payroll for his businesses, even borrowing $400,000 to keep operations afloat. He claims he has yet to be repaid for these expenses and worked without commission for five years.
Earlier this year, Jeezy filed a lawsuit against both Fornie and Eddie Bridgeman, seeking access to financial records and expressing frustration over their management of his finances. He accused them of blocking his access to essential documents, which has hindered his ability to wind down Agency 99, the management company he co-founded with Fornie. Additionally, Jeezy discovered that Bridgeman was not a licensed accountant, which added to his concerns regarding their management practices.
This dispute is not the only legal challenge facing Jeezy. He has also been involved in a contentious situation with his ex-wife, Jeannie Mai, who accused him of violating a court order concerning the retrieval of her belongings from their former home. In December, Mai attempted to collect her possessions, but Jeezy’s house manager denied her entry. Jeezy argued that he did not feel safe allowing Mai access to his home, citing concerns about her potential to undermine him through surveillance tactics.
As the financial and personal disputes unfold, Jeezy’s legal battles continue to attract attention, with fans and industry observers keenly following the developments in both his professional and personal life. The situation underscores the complexities that can arise in the world of entertainment as artists navigate their careers and relationships.
