The murder trial of rapper Ksoo, whose real name is Hakeem Robinson, has officially commenced in Jacksonville, Florida, as his father prepares to testify against him in a case marked by gang violence and family entanglements. Ksoo is accused of the 2019 killing of 16-year-old rapper Bibby (Adrian Gainer), and the trial has drawn significant attention due to the complex dynamics involved.
Jury selection for the trial started on July 21, 2025, with Ksoo currently held in Duval County Jail. He is also awaiting trial for the 2020 murder of rival rapper Charles McCormick Jr., known as Lil Buck. The shooting of Bibby allegedly took place in broad daylight outside a Jacksonville shopping plaza and was captured on dash-cam video.
The cases are reportedly intertwined, linked to an ongoing feud between the ATK and KTA gangs, which have been involved in a violent rivalry within Jacksonville’s Hip-Hop scene. Adding to the drama, Ksoo’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr., is expected to testify for the prosecution and has been charged as an accessory after the fact in the Lil Buck case. In a recorded interview with the state attorney’s office, Robinson Sr. identified his son as the shooter.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Robinson Sr. expressed his feelings about cooperating with authorities, stating, “If it was me and my Daddy (Shaka tip) in a situation like this, I would’ve been freed my daddy a long time ago. NO MATTER WHAT MY CONSEQUENCES WOULD’VE BEEN.” He highlighted the importance of family and the moral dilemma of leaving a parent in jail.
Ksoo’s brother, Abdul Robinson Jr., is also implicated in the Bibby murder and is awaiting trial on second-degree murder charges. Authorities believe the shootings are part of a series of retaliatory incidents stemming from the gang rivalry, which has claimed numerous lives, including that of Julio Foolio, a former leader of KTA, who was fatally shot in June.
The trial for Bibby’s murder is anticipated to move forward following the conclusion of jury selection for the Lil Buck case. As the legal proceedings unfold, the implications of gang violence in the Hip-Hop community remain a pressing issue.
