Celebrity News: Killer Mike and JID to Induct OutKast into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

In an exciting announcement for hip-hop fans, it has been revealed that Killer Mike, JID, and Sleepy Brown will help induct the legendary duo OutKast into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is set to take place on November 8 in Los Angeles, celebrating the undeniable influence André 3000 and Big Boi have had on music and culture.

All three inductors share a profound connection to OutKast’s legacy. Killer Mike, known for his work with El-P as part of Run The Jewels, began his career as a member of the Dungeon Family and contributed standout verses to OutKast’s acclaimed albums, including Stankonia and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Sleepy Brown, a key member of the production team Organized Noize, played a vital role in outKast’s rise, producing and occasionally featuring on many of their tracks.

JID, a fellow Atlanta rapper, has frequently cited OutKast as a major influence on his music. He has collaborated with Big Boi on Masego’s 2021 song “Garden Party” and has been teasing an exciting André 3000 feature on the upcoming deluxe edition of his album God Does Like Ugly.

With OutKast set to become the 13th hip-hop act inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they join the ranks of iconic artists such as JAY-Z, Eminem, 2Pac, and Missy Elliott. This year’s Class of 2025 also includes notable figures from rock, pop, and blues, including The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, and Soundgarden.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Peacock Theater and will be streamed live on Disney Plus, allowing fans to witness this historic moment. Tickets for the event are available now.
