Hip-hop icons Nas and DJ Premier have officially revealed the tracklist for their eagerly awaited collaborative album, Light-Years, which will also serve as the concluding installment of Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… series. Set to release on December 12, this project has been a long time coming, with the duo hinting at their collaboration for over a decade.
The album features 15 tracks, including a guest appearance by AZ on the song “My Story Your Story.” Notably, Light-Years will also include the third installment of Nas’ legendary track “N.Y. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Nas reflected on the creative journey leading up to this album, revealing that some ideas that were previously discussed over the years have finally come to fruition. “I’m going to say at least two of those ideas happened on this album,” he stated, expressing excitement about blending past concepts with new recordings.
Light-Years marks a significant milestone not only for Nas and DJ Premier but also for Mass Appeal Records, as it closes the chapter on the Legend Has It… series.
