In an exciting development for fans of the popular talk show, The Breakfast Club, it has been announced that the show will begin streaming on Netflix in 2026. This partnership comes after iHeartMedia revealed a collaboration with the streaming giant to bring a total of 15 iHeartPodcasts to the platform. Alongside The Breakfast Club, other notable shows included in the deal are Dear Chelsea, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast, and My Favorite Murder.
Charlamagne Tha God, one of the show’s iconic hosts, took to Instagram to express his excitement about this new chapter. He posted, “9 Year that Equals Completion. Snake Year that Equals Shedding. Let’s Try This New Skin. WE TRULY THANK GOD FOR IT ALL!!!”
Bob Pittman, the CEO of iHeartMedia, highlighted the significance of the partnership in a press release. He stated, “Audio podcasting has been the fastest-growing medium over the past 20 years, and now we’re thrilled to expand that experience with an exciting new category – video podcasts. Netflix, as a leading video-first service, is the perfect complement to our strong audio foundation. This collaboration allows fans to connect more deeply with their favorite personalities and introduces these shows to new audiences.”
Lauren Smith, Netflix’s vice president of content licensing and programming strategy, echoed this sentiment, saying, “With this partnership, we are incredibly excited to offer our members unmatched variety and deliver highly entertaining podcasts featuring some of the world’s most dynamic personalities.”
Earlier in October, Netflix had announced a similar partnership with Spotify Studios and The Ringer to add several other podcasts to its lineup, which includes popular titles like The Bill Simmons Podcast and The Rewatchables.
This announcement comes on the heels of Hot 97’s decision to cancel another iconic morning talk show, Ebro in the Morning, which had been a staple since 2012. Ebro responded to the news on social media, indicating that more updates would follow.
